Here, while she had her family there weren't enough Antheans here to fulfill the social needs of her species. So she started reaching out to others. Others in this case being transforming, sentient, mechanical... not robots but close enough.
It wasn't much to prepare for them to come. Due to their size they brought a few chairs out of the house. Tom and Aletayria's house was small, even by human standards. The greenhouse attached to it was probably bigger than the living space. And there were cats, a large number of them, all excited about the hubbub and the fact they could read from their alien companions that wanted visitors were coming. Some of the cats had wings, others were oddly colored... one was a raccoon, a part of the family due to a mistaken identity.
Tommy of course stayed inside reading and disinterested in everything though she assumed when their giant guests came they might get his attention. She and Tom had gone out on the porch to sit and sip tea while they waited. It would be good to have company even if they might not fit in the house.

But only if you want to show me. We met very recently, if you think of us as family, I'm very honoured.}
He looks down at the fabric. {It's really okay, for me to put this on?} Watching her to make sure that she really doesn't mind--it's a personal thing after all--he winds it around his hips, where he likes to wear strings of beads sometimes, like a loose, short kilt, with the long end trailing up over his shoulder like a cape, then spreads the beads out over it, adding a string of turquoise ones.
It's not as feminine a look as one might think, but it makes him look like a dancer. {If you'd like to see a wild cybercat dance, I can show you,} Ravage suggests impishly. {Soundwave can play the music.}
